Wouldn't it be nice to recognize who's a true friend and who's not? Which one among your friends is a true friend? Who's using you for his/her own needs? and even... who's faking it?
Unfortunately there is no way to know this in no time. You'll need time to figure out and actually I think that the best way to recognize who's a true friend is when you both are in an inconvenient situation, in those moments the real personality comes out and you'll see the real charachter of your friend.

All my life I had and changed a lot of friends. When I was a kid I often had to change school and start over again evey year in a new school in a new place with new kids. Growing up I started to study abroad, joined exchange programs, worked as a flight attendant and left my country to live abroad. Meeting new friends and losing old ones was inevitable.
Some friends really surprised me cause also after a long time I haven't been around, they still texted me and asked me if everything was fine with me in China. As for others, they just disappeared.
When I was a flight attendant a lot of people were asking me for flights discounts, I loved to do that for friends but between them there was people who never spoke to me or even saw me, so I just ignored them.
It's very sad when you realize that a freind of yours is just around you cause he/she somehow needs you for his/her's own needs.
When I came back home after almost 1 year living in China I was so suriprised to see how my friends contacted me in no time, willing to meet and spend time together. They were all asking for nothing just to meet and have a drink together and I really appreciated.
