Some of this hacks are just GENIUS! Let's start:
- Coffe makers and electric kettles are great to boil water and even steam vegetables! All you have to do is put the vegetables in a coffe filter and start the brewing process. If you are the adventurous kind of person use the flat iron to grill, make sure to buy some aluminium foil to put between the flat iron and the food.
- If your room doesn't smell pleasant put a dryer sheet over the AC and turn it on (warm).
- If you forgot your Phone charger check the TV, most of them have an USB outlet.
- Annoying and irregular shower outlet can be covered with a perforate shower cup to get evenly distributed water.
- Use your hairdryer to defog the bathroom mirror after showering, dry clothes, warm up the bed sheets before going to sleep. Use it to warm up your belly in order to relieve stomach aches and cramps.
- Use the body lotion the hotel provides to : polish your shoes, get rid of static hair and to protect your skin while shaving.
- If you have an hair straightener use it as a quick improvised flat iron for small creases on your clothes. If u have no flat iron just hang your clothes in the bathroom while taking a shower or a bath, the steam will help to flatten the creases.
- Peeling needed? Use the sugar next to the coffee machine and the body lotion mixed together.
- If you are adventurous and easygoing I suggest to stay in hostels instead of hotels. Some of the hostels are in the BEST location ever and you will save a lot of money (you can get a private room but still a lot cheaper than an hotel)!People working in hostel are also very friendly and used to help travelers and answer to any kind of question, they know all the WiFi passwords of the whole city and where it's cheaper to shop/eat and go clubbing. I was so happy about my hostel experience in Hong Kong last month.
- Download the app 'Foursquare' on your smart phone. There you will find so many suggestion from other travelers which also provide wifi passwords for all the places they have been.
- If at nighttime the light from the corridor is driving you crazy, just roll up a towel and put it under the door.

Last but not least:
BED BUGS
Bed bugs sucks...
those 'staying for free at the hotel guests' are parasitic insects of the cimicid family that feed exclusively on blood and prefers human blood.
The main reaction of their bites includes skin rashes, and allergies. Their bites tent to be in a row and not all over the body, mostly on the arms and shoulders.
How can we now if we have any in our bed? And if it's too late and we wake up with red rashes what should we do?
Start with inspecting your bed during daylight, don't forget to check under the mattress, in the corners of the bed (if against a wall) and behind the headboard. You may not find them but if your mattress show some dark little round spots like the ones in the picture below don't wait to wake up with itchy red skin but ask to change room immediately and inform them to inspect the room.
If u wake up with itchy and red spots on your skin it's time to take some measures.
You should consider to see a dermatologist as soon as possible because the bed bug bite is not the problem itself but the infections they may transmit.
If it is not possible to see a doctor at the very moment remember not to scratch your skin even if very itchy, scratching may cause skin infection. Get in the shower and use cold water to reduce the itchiness and wash gently your skin with some soap. Ice packs are also a good solution. If too itchy get some corticosteroid cream, it's possible to get a weak form of it without prescription at any drugstore. Homemade remedy: prepare a watery mixture of baking soda and apply it on the rushes.
